Edge Panels
Insulated formed edge panels are designed
for a flush surface application in
curtainwall and windows.
High Standard
produces a variety of formed edge insulated
panels that are designed to produce the
‘flush glazed” look in curtainwall and
window applications. |

One application is returned vertical
edges on insulated panels in a
curtainwall system. The vertical
joints between the panels can then
be caulked, thus eliminating a
vertical mullion at each joint. This
is the ‘flushed glazed’ look.
Another application is to use a
“high hat” panel to bring the panel
face out flush with the mullions in
a window system. This application
also significantly improves the
insulating value of the panel
because a flat 1” panel becomes a 2”
panel if the mullion system is 1”
deep.
Formed edge panels can be made with
any of our standard
finishes
except Ceramicsteel. Ceramicsteel
porcelain can not be formed because
it is too brittle.
Formed edge panels can be specified
using any of our standard
substrates
and types of
insulation.
